"What is your New Year's Resolution?"
Oftentimes referred to as “New Year’s Resolutions”, individuals set promises and pledge to attain various goals. This includes everything from quitting smoking to joining a gym. Most often, these goals are intended to improve one’s life and are agreements to ourselves to advance our individual person.
I think New Year’s Resolutions are great….but difficult to attain, if one does not take some time and reflect on their accomplishments first. See, I believe in order for a resolution to give results, a pledge has to start from a positive place, and never a place of negativity. One should not begin with, “I am fat and therefore I need to lose weight”. Rather, “this past year I really enjoyed traveling, and if I was healthier I could do even more”.
So think about what you want to accomplish and set a goal. My New Year’s Resolution: This past year I completed a higher college degree and started running as a hobby, so this coming year I WILL decrease the amount of caffeine I drink, specifically soda. This improves my health and supports my future goals for running a mini-marathon.
HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!!!!!
